The Bech Magnetic Mute is easy to install. Simply bend the coated steel clip until it fits securely on the tailpiece. Then attach the mute to the bridge, in a similar way to a normal orchestral mute, with the magnet facing towards the tailpiece. When you have finished using the mute, take it off the bridge and slide towards the tailpiece where it magnetically attaches to the clip on the tailpiece.
