Passione for Cello
Pirastro Passione brings together a full, rounded upper register and the colour and flexibility of traditional gut lower strings. Choose A, D, G or C individually for 4/4 cello, or select the complete Set.
Construction
Steel A and D
Passione A and D have a single-filament steel core wound with chrome steel. They offer a warm, rounded sound with a broad spectrum of overtones, a clear and precise upper register, excellent response and a smooth transition between the two strings.
Gut G and C
Passione G and C use sheep-gut cores made, wound and polished by hand. The G is wound with chrome steel and the C with tungsten. Both are powerful and brilliant, yet flexible and quick to respond. Their relatively small diameter supports comfortable playability and a shorter settling-in period than traditional gut-core strings.
