Jargar · Cello A String
Classic A, Forte/Heavy,
a bright, full sound from Denmark.
Jargar Classic Cello A String in Forte/Heavy tension — the famous Flexi-Metal strings from Denmark, delivering a bright, full sound with rapid response.
What it is
The single A in Forte tension, 4/4 cello.
This listing is the single Jargar Classic A string in Forte/Heavy tension, for 4/4 cello. Forte sits at the firmer end of the Jargar range, giving more resistance under the bow and a more powerful, projecting voice than the standard Medium.
Tonal character
Bright, full, with rapid response.
Jargar Flexi-Metal construction delivers a characteristically bright, full sound with quick speaking response — a reason the Classic A has remained a standard reference on cellos for decades.
Choosing your strings
How do I choose a set or individual strings?
Use the options above to match your instrument, size and string specification. Choose the quantity for each item you need before adding it to your cart.
Do I need to add individual strings as well as a set?
A set already includes its listed strings. Add an individual string only if you want an extra or a different string. Check the selected set’s contents before ordering.
