The PIRASTRO KorfkerRest® redefines the classic shoulder rest by using bendable maple and redesigned sleek, ultra-light rubber feet. The result is an extremely lightweight rest (Violin 32g, Viola 40g) that lets the instrument sound more freely than any traditional rest or cushion. It offers extensive personal modifications for position, height, and tilt, bringing out a wider dynamic range and richer articulation.

Technology & Materials

Material Composition: The bridge is crafted from high-quality maple tone wood, made bendable through a mechanical process that preserves its acoustic properties. The legs are forged from a special hardened aluminium alloy for stability and minimal weight.

Attachment System: The feet use a special polyamide composition and minimal rubber to guarantee minimal damping. They contact the violin only at the very edge outside the purfling, resulting in less influence on the sound. These feet are 40% lighter than standard models without compromising stability.
