Pirastro Perpetual strings are engineered for a wide dynamic range and minimal playing-in time. They respond immediately to small bow gestures, making them a versatile and reliable choice for both concerto and section work. Steel cores with chrome-steel windings on the A and D, and rope-core steel with tungsten on the G and C, deliver consistent performance across the full range of the instrument.
The Soloist voicing takes the Perpetual platform and tilts the tonal balance toward the lower strings: the G and C are wound for extra radiance and clarity, while the A and D retain the warmly singing character the family is known for. Made in Germany by Pirastro.

The Soloist voicing is particularly effective for concerto repertoire and recital work, where projection and expressive colour in the lower register are as important as clarity in the upper strings. It adapts equally well to sustained cantabile and crisp articulated passages.
