Passione: materials and options
Passione combines gut-core A, D and G strings with a steel E. Pirastro developed the range to reduce playing-in time and improve tuning stability compared with traditional gut strings.
- A: aluminium winding over gut.
- D and G: silver winding over gut.
- A, D and G have ball ends; E options include ball and loop ends.

Choosing your strings
How do I choose a set or individual strings?
Use the options above to match your instrument, size and string specification. Choose the quantity for each item you need before adding it to your cart.
Do I need to add individual strings as well as a set?
A set already includes its listed strings. Add an individual string only if you want an extra or a different string. Check the selected set’s contents before ordering.
What does “Available online only” mean?
