Larsen Original for Cello
Larsen Original Cello strings are known for their rich, smooth sound and distinctive, embracing warmth. They respond easily, settle quickly and provide dependable tonal stability for orchestral, chamber and solo playing.
Original Medium
The complete four-string family
Original Medium offers A, D, G and C as individual 4/4 cello strings, plus a complete Set. The A and D combine solid steel cores with stainless-steel winding for a smooth, resonant upper register. The tungsten-wound G and C add depth, power and focus below, creating an even and dependable four-string balance.
Other voicings
Strong and Soloist A and D remain available
The existing Original Strong A and D remain available for players wanting greater resistance and power. The existing Soloist Medium and Soloist Strong A and D options also remain available for a firmer, more focused upper register. G, C and the complete Set apply only to the Original Medium voicing in this expansion.

How do I choose a set or individual strings?
Use the options above to match your instrument, size and string specification. Choose the quantity for each item you need before adding it to your cart.
Do I need to add individual strings as well as a set?
A set already includes its listed strings. Add an individual string only if you want an extra or a different string. Check the selected set’s contents before ordering.
What does “Available online only” mean?
That option is not currently held at our Auckland store and is available for delivery. It is not available for immediate store collection. Availability can differ between options, so check the label beside each item.
