Terms & Conditions 

At Symphonia Strings, we proudly offer rental instruments that are the same premium quality as those we sell, which are priced between $2,000 and $4,500. Providing starting musicians with high-quality instruments that produce sound easily with beautiful tone and maintain stable tuning is essential for fostering a positive playing experience, ultimately helping them excel in their learning journey.

Rental Period & Fees 

Payment:

• Full payment for the rental period is required upon collection.
•  A $500 deposit is required for 1-month rentals. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the rental period, provided the instrument is returned in good condition with no significant damage beyond regular use.

Care & Maintenance:

• Symphonia Strings will cover maintenance related to regular wear and tear free of charge.
• Renters are responsible for taking care of the instrument and accessories. The instrument should be stored in its case when not in use and kept away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
• The renter is responsible for replacing strings and bow rehairs if required.
• Repairs due to misuse or accidents must be approved by Symphonia Strings. Any resulting repair costs will be charged to the renter.

Loss & Damage:

•  The renter is responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the instrument during the rental period. Repair or replacement costs will be the responsibility of the renter.
• We recommend renters obtain insurance (e.g., house contents insurance) to cover potential loss or damage.
• In the event of damage or loss, please contact us immediately.

Return Policy:

• Instruments must be returned on or before the end of the rental period unless an extension has been arranged.
• If the instrument is not returned by the due date, a late fee of $20 will be applied for each day past the return date.
• After 30 days of non-return, the renter may be liable for the full replacement value of the instrument.

Extension & Renewal:

• Extensions can be arranged by contacting Symphonia Strings before the end of the current rental period. Additional fees will apply based on the extended period.
• Renewal of the rental period must be done before the current agreement expires to avoid late charges.

Early Returns:

• If the renter chooses to return the instrument before the rental period ends, no refund will be provided for the unused time.

Ownership:

• The rented instrument remains the property of Symphonia Strings at all times. Renting the instrument does not confer ownership rights to the renter.

Termination of Agreement:

• Symphonia Strings reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement if the renter fails to comply with these terms and conditions.
• Upon termination, the instrument must be returned immediately.
