One full set for 4/4 violin: the selected goldsteel or regular steel E, plus aluminium-wound A and silver-wound D and G strings.
Tonal character
Warm, focused, exceptionally stable.
Obligato strings are warm and full, with a brilliant, rich overtone spectrum and a focused tone. They are loved by chamber and orchestral musicians for their tone volume and exceptional blend, and offer excellent playability and response across the entire dynamic range.
Like other strings in this family, Obligato strings are absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity.

The standard configuration uses a goldsteel E. Regular steel E-ball and E-loop alternatives are also available for players who prefer a slightly more direct top voice.

E String — adds brilliance, power, and direct soloistic projection to the otherwise warm set.
A String — exceptionally warm, rich, gut-like sound. Blends with D and G.
D String — warm and powerful, complex and rich with immediate response.
G String — deep, warm, voluminous foundation without sacrificing clarity.
