About this rosin
Harder than medium, by design.
Pirastro’s “Cello” rosin sits on the harder side of the rosin spectrum. Many cellists default to a medium-strong cake, but a harder rosin gives a cleaner, more focused grip when conditions ask more of the bow.
It pairs particularly well with steel-core strings and stays reliable in the concert hall. The harder formulation also holds up in tropical and humid climates where softer rosins can feel sticky.
