Teacher - Max Chen Cello

Max Chen has completed his Bachelor of Music student at the University of Auckland School of Music, studying cello with James Yoo. In 2020, he was awarded an LTCL diploma, and during his tertiary studies, was awarded the Greta Ostova Violoncello Scholarship and the Pencello Support award. Alongside his cello studies, Max has also had the opportunity to study conducting and chamber music with both university faculty and visiting guest artists.  He has also performed with various ensembles such as the NZSO National Youth Orchestra, University Symphony Orchestra, and participated in the Adam Summer School for chamber music.
