Storing your instrument

Use a properly fitting case and keep the instrument in a stable environment. A case is part of a care routine, not a reason to leave an instrument in unsuitable conditions.

A practical check before closing the case

Make sure the instrument and bow are secure and that loose accessories cannot contact them. For longer storage or a change of climate, follow the instrument maker’s advice and ask your luthier about your particular instrument.
