Thomastik Dominant Pro (DP100) Strings

Tonal Profile & Player Level: The Dominant Pro set is exceptionally powerful compared to the classic Dominant. It offers a good balance of brilliance and warmth, reacting immediately with a focused sound core and a bell-like tonal character. With a wide dynamic range, these strings are ideal for modern professional performers.
Set Configuration: The standard DP100 set includes the Tin-plated E-string. A variant with a Gold-plated E-string is also available for a warmer, rounder, and broader top end.
Core & Winding Materials: E-String: Tin-plated carbon steel (or Gold-plated stainless steel for the E-Gold variant). A-String: Aluminum-wound over a synthetic core. D-String: Silver-wound over a synthetic core (an aluminum-wound D is available for more brilliance). G-String: Silver-wound over a synthetic core.

Individual Strings

• E-String (Tin Plated) – The standard Dominant Pro E-string, tin-plated carbon steel, delivers maximum brilliance, power, and the set’s signature bell-like clarity.
• E-String (Gold Plated) – The alternate E-string, gold-plated stainless steel, offers a warmer, rounder, and sweeter top end, ideal for taming an overly bright or sharp instrument.
• A-String (Aluminium/Synthetic) – A powerful, warm and highly responsive string, with a focused sound core.
• D-String (Silver/Synthetic) – Provides a rich, warm and full-bodied tone.
• D-String (Aluminium/Synthetic) – An optional D-string for more brilliance and projection; even more responsive to the bow than the silver D-string.
• G-String (Silver/Synthetic) – Offers a powerful, warm and projecting foundation, reacting immediately to the bow.
