The Versum Solo is voiced for greater brilliance and projection than the standard Versum, while maintaining a warmly musical core. The result is a set that cuts through concerto accompaniment and still blends elegantly in chamber and orchestral contexts.
Carbon-steel cores on the A and D with multi-alloy windings speak immediately and stay stable. Spiral rope cores on the G and C with tungsten/chrome windings offer a focused, projecting lower register. Made in Vienna by Thomastik-Infeld.
