About the SS03

The SS03 sits in the middle of the Symphonia student bow range, a clear step up from the SS02 and the natural stage before the SS04. It suits students who have outgrown their first bow and want better balance and response as their technique develops.
Made with better materials and finer craftsmanship than the SS02, the SS03 offers improved balance and flexibility, helping players draw a fuller, more even tone across the string.
Why choose the SS03
A real step up, without the SS04 price.
Where the SS02 helps a beginner find their first sound, the SS03 responds to a player who is starting to shape phrases and control dynamics. More even weight distribution and a smoother draw make string crossings and basic off-string strokes easier to control. The SS04 remains the top of the range for advanced players, but the SS03 offers much of that progress at a friendlier price.

Developing and early-intermediate students.
The SS03 suits cellists with a year or two of playing behind them, students working through the early grades, and players who want a real improvement over a beginner bow without moving straight to the SS04.
