Charlotte West

With a passion for empowering vocalists of all ages, Charlotte West brings extensive experience to vocal coaching for both children and adults. A graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts (NASDA), Charlotte further trained in Estill Voice Training and the Meisner Technique. She guides students in musical theatre and contemporary voice, with equal focus on storytelling and vocal technique that responds to their unique goals and voices.

Charlotte works across and with high schools, tertiary institutions, professional vocalists, and children, meeting every student where they're at and helping them grow with confidence, no matter their starting point.

She particularly loves working with vocalists who are navigating vocal health challenges and can support and guide their recovery with a wide range of professional connections.

As a mum of four young children, she understands and safeguards the energy, curiosity, and individuality young learners bring to the studio.

As well as a vocal coach, Charlotte is a director, singer, producer and voice-over artist, with extensive experience across TV, radio and online media, most notably as a station voice at TVNZ since 2014.

With her professional experience and equal care for specific technique and storytelling, Charlotte helps singers build voices that are healthy, expressive, and authentically their own.
